Executive Session Non-Public Meeting of the Board of Education

The Lyndhurst Board of Education will be holding an Executive Session non-public meeting on October 13, 2015 at 7:00 p.m.  See attached for more information.

Halloween Parade (K-8)

The Lyndhurst Parks and Recreation Department will be sponsoring the annual Halloween Parade on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.  Click here for more information.

The Lighthouse Newspaper

In recognition of The Lighthouse, Lyndhurst High School’s student newspaper, earning a first place designation for 2014-2015 from the American Scholastic Press Association, Assemblyman Gary Schaer will be presenting the staff of The Lighthouse with a ceremonial resolution. This recognition is being offered to The Lighthouse on behalf of the Assemblyman, Assemblywoman Marlene Caride and Senator Paul Sarlo.

Congratulations to Ms. Pastor, the Lighthouse Advisor, and the journalism students for their hard work and continued success in their endeavors. You make LHS proud.

Halloween Dance (Grades 3 to 6)

Lyndhurst Girls Cheerleading is sponsoring the 3rd Annual LGB Halloween Dance on October 23, 2015.  Click here for more information


Student Services is excited to offer a new college preparation program called LUNCH AND LEARN.  During lunch on select Mondays, come eat in the library and learn more about a variety of college planning topics! These information sessions will take place on the days listed below covering the following topics...

Food Drive

From October 5th to November 9th, the Lyndhurst School District will be partnering with the Lyndhurst Food Pantry to help feed families this holiday season. Please see the list below regarding the nonperishable items that the Food Pantry is in need of, but all donations are welcome.



The 2015 Preliminary Scholarship Aptitude Test/ National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) will be given on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 during the school day at Lyndhurst High School.   This will be a single session day for all high school students.  Calculators can be used during the mathematics section of the test.  Students are required to bring a calculator.
