From the Office of the School Business Administrator

Scott T. Bisig, M. Ed.

We welcome our new School Business Administrator and Board Secretary, Mr. Scott T. Bisig to the Lyndhurst Public Schools!

Before providing a further insight into my professional background, I first and foremost want to thank the Lyndhurst Board of Education and Superintendent Shauna DeMarco for this prestigious opportunity to join the Lyndhurst Public School District’s family. I look forward to serving the district with distinction and supporting the future “2020 Vision” of the Lyndhurst community.

My professional background began when I graduated from William Paterson University with a Bachelors in Science in Business Administration with concentration in finance & economics. After graduating college, I served twenty-one years combined service between active duty and the reserves in U.S. Armed Forces before retiring from the Army Reserves as a Major with the Corp of Engineers. While in the Army Reserves, I was also fortunate to serve a second career as a Law Enforcement Officer with the Borough of New Milford, where I retired in 2004. During that time, I earned my Master’s Degree in Education through American InterContinental University with honors in Curriculum Design.

Once retiring from the Armed Forces, and law Enforcement, I began my teaching career at the middle school level teaching Computer Applications and Introduction to Business. I then moved onto the high school where I taught Finance, Business Law, and Business Management where I was awarded National Honors for finishing in the top 5% of High Schools Nationwide for teaching the W!SE (Working in Support of Education) Certification Courses in Personal Finance, and received the distinguished Star Teacher of the Year honors twice for Bergen County through The Record and Prudential Bank. During this time, I earned another Post Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Thomas Edison State College with honors in 2010 and was awarded acceptance into the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society.

Leaving the classroom to enter the District Office as a School Business Administrator for the largest K-6 district in New Jersey enabled me to continue building my knowledge base in Public Education Finances. This transition led to this current opportunity to become a professional member within the prestigious community of the Lyndhurst Public School District.

I look forward to serving this great community for many years as we move forward towards our Future 2020 Vision and beyond.

Scott T. Bisig
