Before and After Care for students in the Lyndhurst Public Schools is offered by a local, private business. The After-Hours Club for Kids is a not-for-profit organization, licensed by the State of NJ, that has been providing safe and fun before-school care and after-school care to Lyndhurst students in Grades K - 8 for more than five years.
Morning care services are offered at all school locations, beginning at 7:00 a.m. After care services are based out of three school locations and run until 6:00 p.m.
District school buses transport students daily from Franklin, Columbus, and Lincoln schools, and Memorial Campus to the designated after-school locations (Roosevelt, Washington, and Jefferson Schools). When picking up students, parents/caregivers must do so from the child's assigned after-care location.
Each year, The After Hours Club for Kids promotes and hosts open registration for the upcoming school year between April and August 15th. Registration for the start of school is then closed and any registration received by September 15th may begin October 1st, space permitting.
Beginning September 15th, and throughout the school year, the After Hours Club enrolls students through a rolling registration procedure. To ensure all students' safety and well-being, the registration process takes approximately two weeks, with new enrollees beginning the 1st or 15th of each month. Space is limited and students are enrolled on a first come, first serve basis. When the program is at capacity, students may be placed on a wait list and parents will be notified should an opening become available.
All information about enrollment in The After Hours Club for Kids is available at their business office, located at 306 Stuyvesant Ave. (across from Kearny Savings Bank). They can also be reached via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
