SAVE: Strategic Actions for Violence Elimination

On October 19, 2006 Govenor Corzine announced SAVE: Strategic Actions for Violence Elimination, a new school security initiative focusing on the need for a stronger collaboration between school officials, law enforcement, and the community. As part of the SAVE initiative, the Govenor called for the development of a School Security Website.

This website is dedicated to providing school security information to students, school officials, and parents, but will prove to be a valuable resource to all members of the public. Currently, the website provides information about trainings, regulations, funding opportunities and other safety and security issues. It also provides a mechanism for schools and districts to request technical assistance from the department.
