Hello! I am Jill Loeser and I am the current Elementary/ Middle School Art Educator at Roosevelt School including two classes at Memorial Campus. I have been teaching Fine Arts in the Lyndhurst school district since 2008. I began my career at Lyndhurst High School where I taught multiple levels including Cartooning and Illustration, art I, II, and III. I earned a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Visual Arts and Teacher Education concentrating in drawing and painting from Ramapo College of NJ. I also obtained a Master's Degree in Art Education from Boston University and am the Assistant Director of the Fall Play at Lyndhurst High School. I am excited to get to know the young artists in Lyndhurst and explore the possibilities of creativity through art class!

Throughout the school year, students will focus on topics included in the Elements of Art and Principals of Design. Visual components of color, form, line, shape, space, texture, and value are the main emphasis for the first half of the year. The design principals focus on balance, emphasis, movement, pattern, repetition, proportion, rhythm, variety, and unity which are emphasized toward the second half of the year. Different mediums are used in art class including pencil work, painting, pastels (oil and chalk), and mixed media to name a few. Please advise me or your school nurse of any allergies to art materials your child may have.
