iReady
A picture is worth a thousand words, and in education, information speaks volumes.
Data analysis can provide a snapshot of what students know, what they should know, and what can be done to meet their academic needs. This is why Lyndhurst uses tools like i-Ready. i-Ready is an online program for reading and mathematics that will help your student’s teacher(s) determine your student’s needs, personalize their learning, and monitor progress throughout the school year. i-Ready allows your teacher(s) to meet your student exactly where they are and provides data to increase your student’s learning gains. i-Ready consists of two parts: Diagnostic Assessment and Personalized Instruction.

What is the iReady Diagnostic Assessment?
The iReady diagnostic assessment measures students' performance and progress in specific foundational skills for reading and mathematics. Each of these "domains" tested by the iReady diagnostic assessment are defined below. The diagnostic assessment is adaptive, meaning that as a student answers questions, the assessment will adjust to provide more complicated or more simplistic questions based on how they answered the question prior. The results of the assessment are then shared with students and families and reviewed by teachers in order to determine an appropriate plan of study to support students individualized needs.

When is the iReady Diagnostic Assessment taking place and who is taking it?
Only grade 3-5 students will take the iReady diagnostic assessments three times throughout the year (Fall, Winter, and Spring) in order to monitor their progress and growth. Diagnostic Assessment reports, these reports are called Family Reports, will be shared with parents/guardians soon after each administration.
What is iReady Personalized Instruction?
i-Ready Personalized Instruction provides students with lessons based on their individual skill level and needs, so your student can learn at a pace that is just right for them. These lessons are fun and interactive to keep your student engaged as they learn.
